Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Arindam Sengupta has recently been appointed as Managing Director of Havas People India and Chief Client Officer at Havas Creative Network India, further strengthening his leadership role within the Havas India network. Since July 2023, he has also been serving as Managing Director of Havas People, where he spearheads employer branding and employee communications, reinforcing the belief that people and talent are the biggest assets of any organization.
Sengupta’s journey with Havas began in 2016 when he joined as Managing Partner – West and South. Over nearly six years in this role, he headed the Mumbai office and later expanded responsibilities to Bangalore, the tech hub for Havas Creative India. He worked with marquee clients such as Sanofi, Tata Motors, Unilever, VIP Industries, Zee Network, Oppo Mobiles, Reliance Digital, 3M, and Malabar Gold. He was also selected for the Havas Next Gen program, a global talent initiative for future leaders. In November 2021, he was elevated to Chief Client Officer at Havas Worldwide and Head of Group Integration, where he managed brands including Citroën, JBL, Harman Kardon, Tata CLiQ Luxury, Celio, Burger King, P&G, and Lionsgate Play, driving new growth, P&L expansion, and business integration across the group.
Before joining Havas, Sengupta worked with Ogilvy from 2015 to 2016 as Senior Vice President, handling accounts such as Unilever Beverages, Hamilton Group, Bosch Siemens, and Mahindra Lifespaces. This experience gave him exposure to managing large-scale businesses and building high-impact campaigns.
Earlier, he spent a decade with TBWA\India and TBWA\Worldwide, where he rose from General Manager to Vice President and Branch Head. He led South and Chennai operations, managed clients like Apple, Henkel, Titan Goldplus, GMR Group, Sify, Heineken, and Reliance Footprints, and participated in TBWA’s global leadership program “Tiger Academy”, with training at Tokyo and New York offices. His efforts revitalized the Chennai branch, winning recognition as the best-performing office within TBWA\India.
Prior to this, he worked at DDB Mudra Group as Associate Account Director, managing iconic brands like Peter England and UB Group. At Saatchi & Saatchi, he served as Account Supervisor, handling the Tata Tea account and gaining strategic planning exposure through the agency’s “LoveMarks” process. He began his career in 1998 with MullenLowe Lintas Group as Brand Services Manager, where he worked on marquee brands including Unilever, Britannia, Arvind Mills, Titan, and The Oberoi Hotels.
With over 25 years of experience across advertising, employer branding, integrated communications, and client leadership, Sengupta continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Havas India’s creative and people-first vision.
