Princeton, New Jersey, United States, March 2025 – Novo Nordisk has appointed Arlene Giles as Director, Talent Management – Strategic Workforce Planning, marking a key leadership addition to its global HR function. In this new role, Giles will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of workforce planning, leveraging her deep expertise in global talent development, succession planning, and business-aligned HR strategies.
Before joining Novo Nordisk, Arlene Giles spent over six years at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.), where she held multiple progressive leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Associate Director, Talent Management, overseeing global talent practices, strategic workforce planning, and performance development initiatives. Prior to that, as Talent Partner and Senior Manager, Talent Performance & Development, she led enterprise-level talent development strategies and change management programs.

Earlier, she served at ETS for more than 15 years across several roles including Information Technology Business Partner and HR Business Partner. She managed the implementation of key HR technologies, helped drive HR visibility and service delivery, and designed knowledge management frameworks to support organizational development. Giles also held early-career roles at Interactive Learning, Neiman Marcus Group, and interned at The New York Times in a corporate marketing capacity.
