Having co-founded Navi, Bansal played a crucial role in establishing its digital lending and fintech operations. Over the past six years, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s financial services ecosystem, leveraging technology to drive financial inclusion. With this transition, he will prioritize governance, strategic oversight, and high-level decision-making, enabling operational leaders to drive daily execution.
Before founding Navi, Bansal was the Co-founder and Chairman of Flipkart, where he revolutionized India’s e-commerce landscape over a decade-long tenure. Under his leadership, Flipkart grew into one of India’s largest online marketplaces, setting industry benchmarks in digital retail, logistics, and customer experience. His strategic acumen played a significant role in the company’s multi-billion-dollar acquisition by Walmart in 2018.
Earlier in his career, Bansal worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services, where he gained extensive experience in technology architecture, software development, and data-driven solutions. His expertise in cloud computing and scalable systems provided a strong foundation for his later entrepreneurial ventures in e-commerce and fintech.
