Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Blue Star Limited has announced the appointment of Arun Rajan as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), bringing with him over two decades of extensive experience in human resources management. His expertise in talent development, workforce transformation, and organizational strategy will play a pivotal role in strengthening Blue Star’s HR framework.

Prior to this, Arun Rajan led human resources for Pantaloons, Style Up & Marigold Lane at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., where he was instrumental in driving HR initiatives, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President, HR – Consumer & Enterprise Businesses, Employee Relations at Vodafone Idea Limited, playing a key role in shaping people-centric strategies and driving large-scale transformation programs. His career also includes leadership roles at Vodafone, Tata AIA Life Insurance, and Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd., where he gained deep expertise in HR business partnering, performance management, rewards, and organization development.

As part of this transition, V S Ashok, the current Chief Human Resources Officer, has been re-designated as Executive Vice President, Customer Experience & ESG. V S Ashok has been an integral part of Blue Star Limited for over 32 years, having served in various strategic roles across customer service, air conditioning and refrigeration service operations, and national service management.

In his tenure as CHRO since 2019, Ashok played a critical role in building a strong HR function, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives. Prior to this, he held leadership positions such as Vice President – Customer Service, National Head – Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service Group, and Senior General Manager – Service Operations, where he significantly contributed to enhancing service delivery, driving customer satisfaction, and optimizing service revenue. His deep understanding of customer experience, business operations, and employee engagement makes him well-suited for his new role, where he will now oversee customer experience strategies, ESG initiatives, and sustainability efforts at Blue Star.
