New Delhi, Delhi, India, July 2026 — WAISL Limited has appointed Achin K Sharma as its new Chief Digital Officer (CDO). In his new role, he will lead and consult on the Digital & AI transformation journey for GMR Cargo across multiple locations, driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, elevate customer experience, and improve business agility through intelligent, scalable, and future-ready digital solutions.
With over 25 years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT leadership, Achin K Sharma has built a distinguished career leading large-scale technology modernization initiatives across diverse industries. Prior to joining WAISL Limited, he served as Head – Technology, Digital & Cybersecurity (Vice President – IT) at MOVIN India, where he established and led the organization’s technology and cybersecurity functions. Working closely with the CEO and business leadership, he designed and executed a cloud-native transformation roadmap, built scalable technology capabilities, strengthened cybersecurity, and delivered multiple award-winning digital transformation initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and customer experience.
Before MOVIN India, Achin was Head – IT Applications & Operations at Godfrey Phillips India Ltd., where he led technology operations spanning multiple factories, distributors, retail outlets, and sales teams. During his tenure, he spearheaded digital transformation programs leveraging cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation, mobility, augmented reality, virtual reality, and Industry 4.0 technologies to modernize business operations and improve productivity.
Earlier, he served as Global Digital & Technology Leader at Royal Enfield, leading transformation programs across India, the United Kingdom, North America, Brazil, and Thailand. He successfully delivered connected customer experience platforms, SaaS-based retail solutions, mobile applications, and digital marketing capabilities that strengthened customer engagement globally. His leadership journey also includes senior technology roles at Tata Docomo (Tata Teleservices Limited), EXL, Nokia, GE Capital, CyberMedia, and Electrolux India Limited, where he built deep expertise in enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, financial technology, digital platforms, service delivery, and IT operations.
Achin holds an MBA in Information Systems & Marketing from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, complementing his extensive experience in digital strategy, enterprise technology, and business transformation.
With his strong background in digital innovation, AI, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology leadership, Achin is well positioned to accelerate WAISL Limited’s digital transformation initiatives and help build intelligent, resilient, and future-ready operations for GMR Cargo.
