Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, December 2025 – Arun Ram has been appointed as Sr. Director, Finance Systems, APEC at Marriott International, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing leadership journey with the global hospitality major. In his new role, he will lead the finance systems strategy across the Asia Pacific region, strengthening digital finance infrastructure, governance, and operational excellence across Marriott’s expansive regional portfolio.
Prior to this regional leadership role, Arun Ram served as Area Director of Finance at Marriott International, a role he has held for over sixteen years, during which he oversaw multi-property financial operations across major Indian hospitality markets and contributed to large-scale finance transformation initiatives.
Earlier, he served as Multi Property Director of Finance across Hyderabad and Kochi markets, where he strengthened financial governance, compliance, and multi-property financial performance. He also served as Director of Finance at JW Marriott Bengaluru, leading finance strategy and operations for premium hospitality portfolios.
Arun began his Marriott journey as Assistant Finance Controller, steadily progressing through senior finance leadership roles within the group. Before joining Marriott, he built strong foundations in process excellence and quality leadership at General Electric and Genpact (GECIS), and briefly contributed to analytics and financial advisory roles at Vincom Financial Group.
He holds an MBA in Finance & Strategy from London Business School and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Hong Kong, reflecting his strong academic grounding in finance leadership and transformation.
