Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, April 2025 – Arvind Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of AWL Agri Business Limited, a strategic business arm of Adani Wilmar Limited. In his new role, Arvind will be responsible for driving operational excellence, growth strategy, and market expansion across AWL’s diverse agri-business portfolio.
Prior to joining AWL, Arvind Kumar served as Chief Executive – Food Business at Desai Brothers Ltd., where he led business transformation and portfolio scaling initiatives over nearly three years. His work was pivotal in shaping brand strategy and expanding national presence in the food segment.
Before that, he held leadership roles at Dukes India, including Chief Executive Officer and Business Head, over a period of nearly four years. He spearheaded product innovation and distribution efficiency, significantly strengthening brand equity and operational performance in the FMCG sector.
Arvind also served as National Sales & Business Head at Mapro Foods Pvt. Ltd., where he led market development and institutional sales for nearly three years, reinforcing the company’s national distribution network and category growth in the food processing sector.
His earlier career saw him rise through the ranks at Dukes India, where he contributed across multiple leadership roles including Deputy General Manager, Manager, and Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. He began his career after earning his MBA in Food & Beverage Marketing from NIT Warangal and later completed the Global Advanced Management Programme (GAMP) at ISB-Kellogg.
