Lautoka, Western, Fiji, October 2025 — Ashneel Kumar Singh has been promoted to Executive Director Human Resources at The University of Fiji, marking a new chapter in his six-year journey with the institution. Ashneel’s journey at The University of Fiji began over six years ago, where he has progressively taken on expanded responsibilities within the human resources function. Prior to this promotion, he served as Director of Human Resources, leading initiatives in talent management, learning and development, and organizational capability building. His strategic vision and focus on talent readiness have been instrumental in aligning HR with the University’s mission to deliver academic excellence and sustainable growth.

Earlier, as Human Resources Manager at the University, Ashneel played a key role in developing HR systems and policies, managing workforce planning, and enhancing employee engagement. His leadership extended across multiple HR disciplines, including performance management, employee relations, compliance, and succession planning — establishing him as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Before joining the University of Fiji, Ashneel served as HR & Administration Officer at Erase Fiji Pte Limited, where he managed general operations and organizational HR needs, introducing systems that improved operational efficiency and governance compliance. His earlier experiences include roles such as Human Resources Training Officer at Jacks of Fiji, where he handled recruitment, industrial relations, and employee training; and Human Resource & Compliance Officer at Motiram & Co Pte Ltd, where he developed HR frameworks and compliance strategies supporting business transformation.

Across his career, Ashneel has consistently demonstrated expertise in human resource development, coaching and mentoring, DEI initiatives, and change management — qualities that have shaped him into a progressive HR leader committed to building inclusive and high-performance work cultures.

About The University of Fiji

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and The University of Fiji provides a framework for collaboration until a comprehensive legislative act is enacted, further strengthening its governance and academic structure.
