Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2026 – Britannia Industries Limited has appointed Puneet Das as Chief Marketing Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the iconic food company advances its ambition of becoming a Global Total Foods Company.
In his new role, Puneet will lead the strategic marketing agenda across Britannia’s diverse portfolio spanning biscuits, breads, cakes, rusk, dairy, and snacking. He will be responsible for driving brand growth, innovation, market expansion, and long-term value creation in an increasingly competitive and evolving consumer landscape.
Prior to joining Britannia, Puneet served as President – Packaged Beverages, India & South Asia at Tata Consumer Products, where he was responsible for driving growth strategy, P&L outcomes, and category expansion for Packaged Beverages and Organic India. Earlier, as Senior Vice President Marketing – Beverages India, and previously Vice President Marketing – India at Tata Global Beverages, he led the marketing strategy for marquee brands including Tetley, Tata Tea (Premium, Gold, Agni), Chakra Gold, Kanan Devan, Gemini, TeaVeda, and Tata Coffee Grand, managing portfolios valued at hundreds of millions of dollars while strengthening brand equity and market leadership.
Before Tata Consumer Products, Puneet held leadership roles at Ola, where he was Business Head – Premium Categories, owning the P&L for pan-India premium mobility segments, and at GSK Consumer Healthcare, where he led the Nutrition Category across India and Sub-Saharan Africa. As General Manager – Horlicks, he managed the flagship brand’s marketing and P&L, driving category growth and innovation. His global exposure also includes serving as Category Development Director – Family Nutrition, Africa, expanding the nutrition portfolio across multiple emerging markets.
Earlier in his career, Puneet held marketing leadership positions at PepsiCo, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd., and Marico Limited, and began his professional journey as Area Sales Manager at Gillette, building a strong foundation in sales and brand management.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, where he completed his MBA in Marketing, Puneet brings over two decades of cross-category marketing leadership spanning FMCG, beverages, nutrition, mobility, and global emerging markets.
