Hyderabad, Telangana, India, July 2026 — 66degrees has appointed Ashoka Gurujala as Director of Talent Acquisition, where he will lead the company’s talent acquisition strategy across Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, Cloud, and Services. In his new role, he will focus on building high-performing technology teams, strengthening organizational capabilities, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and enabling the company’s next phase of growth through strategic hiring and workforce planning.
Ashoka joins 66degrees after serving as Global Talent Acquisition & Business Transformation Head – India/USA at The AES Group, where he led business transformation, enterprise talent acquisition, and organizational capability development across India and the United States. He drove large-scale hiring strategies, business transformation initiatives, customer engagement, operational excellence, and talent programs supporting cloud, AI, data engineering, and digital technologies for global enterprise clients. Alongside talent leadership, he also oversaw business operations spanning HR, finance, payroll, administration, governance, and cross-functional business transformation initiatives.
Prior to AES Group, Ashoka served as Managing Partner & Director in an independent talent advisory and consulting practice, where he advised organizations on talent strategy, business transformation, leadership hiring, organizational capability building, and consulting solutions aligned with business growth and digital transformation objectives.
Earlier, he spent more than twelve years with Wipro Limited, leading talent acquisition across India, the United States, and Canada. During this tenure, he headed North America and India talent acquisition functions, managing large global recruitment teams responsible for high-volume hiring across Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Healthcare, Energy, Utilities, Engineering, Cloud, Cybersecurity, ERP, Analytics, Digital Technologies, Infrastructure Services, and leadership hiring. He successfully led campus hiring, diversity recruitment, executive hiring, contract staffing, and enterprise recruitment programs while consistently delivering large-scale hiring targets across global markets.
Before joining Wipro, Ashoka worked with Birlasoft, where he managed end-to-end recruitment across enterprise technology practices including Oracle, Siebel, and Mainframe technologies. He played a key role in scaling critical technology practices and successfully executed large-scale recruitment drives supporting major client engagements.
He began his talent acquisition career with Wipro Infotech, where he managed end-to-end recruitment for telecom and technology businesses, partnering closely with business leaders to build large technology teams supporting major telecom transformation projects across India.
Ashoka recently completed the Executive Program in Business Management (Executive MBA) from the Indian School of Business (ISB), strengthening his expertise in strategic leadership, finance, marketing, artificial intelligence, data science, economics, and enterprise transformation. He also holds an MBA in Human Resources and Marketing from Osmania University.
