Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, September 2025 – Athul Prabhu has been appointed as Product Director at Truecaller Ads, where he will lead the company’s product strategy for advertising innovation. In this role, he is expected to accelerate ad monetization efforts, build high-impact solutions for brands, and drive product-led growth by leveraging Truecaller’s expansive global user base of over 450 million.
Athul joins Truecaller from Glance, where he was Group Product Manager for over four years. At Glance, he led ad-tech and monetization, designing the first-of-its-kind lock screen monetization product suite in collaboration with Google. His leadership was instrumental in building AI-powered revenue optimization models and driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, data science, and business teams.
Previously, Athul was with ByteDance as Product Marketing Manager, where he scaled TikTok’s ad monetization products across the US, EU, SEA, and Australia. He played a pivotal role in expanding the go-to-market footprint and building new ad products based on user and market insights.
Prior to that, he was Senior Growth Product Manager at Viacom18 Media, where he introduced programmatic ad monetization on the Voot platform and designed growth experiments to accelerate ad revenues. His earlier tenure at Nielsen as Senior Manager – Ads Measurement saw him build India’s first digital ROI measurement model, empowering FMCG advertisers to optimize spends with Custom Mix Modeling (CMM) and data-driven insights.
Athul’s multifaceted career also includes a creative stint as a content creator and singer-songwriter, where his work was featured by Spotify and TVF, and an early analytics role with Capital One in credit risk management. His unique blend of technical, creative, and strategic product leadership makes him well-suited to drive the next phase of growth at Truecaller Ads.
