Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – Balakrishnan Mahadevan has been elevated to the role of Asia Pacific Executive Director Finance || AP region FP&A and Commercial Finance at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In this newly expanded leadership capacity, he will oversee financial planning and commercial finance for the Asia Pacific region, guiding strategic decisions and driving financial excellence across multiple markets.
Balakrishnan has been with BCG for over eight years, previously serving as Asia Pacific FP&A & Commercial Excellence Senior Director, where he led end-to-end planning, forecasting, and commercial strategy for the region. Prior to that, he held key roles such as Asia Pacific Regional Finance Director and India Commercial Finance Director, steadily advancing within the firm due to his deep analytical expertise and strong stakeholder orientation.
Before joining BCG, Balakrishnan spent over 13 years with Accenture, where he held several leadership roles including APAC Strategy Consulting Finance Lead, V&A Deal Finance Director, and Finance Lead for Management Consulting India & Capability Network. His diverse portfolio at Accenture strengthened his capabilities in strategic planning, change management, and financial performance optimization.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of India Commercial & Business Finance and held financial leadership roles at companies such as Ion Exchange India Ltd and India Life Pension Services, gaining a strong foundation in financial operations, portfolio management, and investment strategy.
