Toronto, Ontario, Canada, July 2025 – Behdad Khalili has taken on the new role of Head of People, Hosted Units North America at Ericsson, marking a pivotal leadership transition within the global telecom giant. In this capacity, he will be responsible for shaping the people strategy for hosted units across North America, ensuring talent readiness, operational excellence, and employee experience alignment with Ericsson’s evolving business needs.
Over the past nearly 18 years at Ericsson, Behdad has served in numerous global HR leadership roles. Most recently, he worked as Executive Remuneration Subject Matter Expert, where he played a critical role in shaping compensation frameworks for senior leaders across the company, supporting Ericsson’s competitiveness in talent acquisition and retention.
Prior to this, Behdad held the role of Head of People, Digital Services for Market Area Middle East and Africa, where he spent over four years based in Istanbul, driving large-scale organizational transformations and leading strategic HR programs across the region’s digital business. His earlier tenure in Istanbul included impactful assignments as HR Business Partner for IT & Cloud Products and Services RMEA, HR Generalist Hub Lead for Common Core Functions, and HR Generalist for the Middle East region, cumulatively building deep cross-functional and cultural experience.
Behdad began his career at Ericsson as Human Resources Manager in Iran, where he led talent, learning, and employee engagement initiatives for over five years. Before joining Ericsson, he worked as an HR Executive at Taliya, where he contributed to foundational HR practices in one of Iran’s emerging mobile operators.
