In his new role, Donoghue will leverage over 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry, supporting organizations with customized insurance and benefits strategies spanning employee engagement, communication, compliance, and benefits technology.
At Lockton, Bob Donoghue will focus on delivering structured programs designed to protect client interests while meeting evolving workforce needs. His expertise includes plan and funding analysis across both fully insured and self-funded clients, along with building health, dental, life, and disability programs that balance financial sustainability and employee experience.
Before joining Lockton, Bob Donoghue served for over three years as Vice President, Employee Health & Benefits Advisor at Marsh McLennan Agency in Houston, where he advised clients on employee health and benefits strategy while navigating the fast-evolving benefits environment.
Prior to Marsh McLennan Agency, he spent nearly 15 years with Gallagher Benefit Services, where he worked as a Benefit Consultant in the Greater Houston market. During this phase, he developed deep expertise in claims analysis and risk forecasting, negotiating medical and reinsurance rates, and designing benefit structures tailored for diverse client groups. His long tenure also reflects strong capability in managing complex client portfolios, new business development, and ensuring compliance support through close collaboration with account management and underwriting teams.
Earlier, Bob began building his advisory foundation at Christ Purcell LLP, where he worked for about five years as an Associate, focused on business development in the group benefits market—an experience that shaped his long-term specialization in employee benefits consulting.
