Božena Petikonis-Šabanienė Appointed as Head of Human Resources and Business Support Department (Baltics & Poland) at Ignitis Group

Vilnius, Lithuania, August 2025 – Božena Petikonis-Šabanienė has been appointed as Head of Human Resources and Business Support Department (Baltics & Poland) at Ignitis Group. In this expanded leadership role, she will oversee HR and business support strategies across multiple locations, driving talent management, organizational culture, and operational excellence to support the Group’s renewable energy and infrastructure goals.

Petikonis-Šabanienė has been with Ignitis Renewables Group for more than three years. Most recently, she served as Head of Human Resources (Baltics & Poland), where she led a department of over 20 professionals across four locations. She defined HR and business support strategies, covering the entire employee lifecycle, including compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, and employer branding. She also coached executives and guided the creation of trust-based, learning-driven HR processes.

Alongside her corporate role, she contributes to governance and advocacy. She serves as an Independent Board Member at Go Vilnius and is a long-standing Board Member at the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania, where she has chaired the HR and Migration Committee, working to make the Lithuanian labor market more competitive and inclusive.

Prior to her work with Ignitis, she spent over a decade at Manpower Lithuania, where she rose to the position of Director/CEO. Under her leadership, Manpower became one of the leading recruitment and staffing agencies in the Baltics, providing end-to-end workforce solutions. Earlier in her tenure with Manpower, she served as Country Manager for Lithuania and Latvia and as HR Manager/Key Account Manager, where she built extensive expertise in staffing, recruitment, and organizational development.

Earlier in her career, Petikonis-Šabanienė held leadership roles in ALEA (Association of Lithuanian Employment Agencies) as a Board Member and at Adampolis, the MAN Trucks representative in Lithuania, where she worked as Marketing Manager, contributing to strategic communication and HR event support.
