Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa – October 2024 – Bridgette Daries has joined PPECB as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, Bridgette will lead PPECB’s IT strategies, oversee digital transformation initiatives, and drive the organization’s focus on enhancing technology infrastructure to support South Africa’s perishable products export industry.
Bridgette brings extensive experience in IT leadership and digital transformation. Before joining PPECB, she served as the Chief Information Officer at Aculocity, where she focused on implementing strategic IT initiatives, managing large-scale IT operations, and driving digital transformation across the organization.
Prior to Aculocity, Bridgette was the Chief Information Officer at Astron Energy, where she led significant IT projects, including the re-integration of the company into a global domain after a standalone operation phase. She also implemented a new IT operating model, enhanced cybersecurity measures, and managed the transition from work-from-home to a phased return-to-office model, demonstrating strong crisis management and strategic planning.
Bridgette has also held roles at Chevron and Caltex, where she gained experience in IT infrastructure management, project delivery, and business systems implementation across multiple regions. As Infrastructure Manager for Africa-Pakistan, she oversaw IT operations in 15 countries, managed IT restructures, and played a pivotal role in major IT transformations. Earlier, she established and led the IT PMO for the Africa-Pakistan region, successfully managing IT projects and portfolio value delivery.
