Christchurch, New Zealand, September 2024 – Bridgit Sepie has been appointed as the new Head of People Strategy at Meridian Energy, where she will lead the organization’s people strategy initiatives, aligning them with the company’s growth objectives and its focus on sustainability. In this role, Bridgit will be responsible for driving HR projects, talent development, and change management, ensuring that the company’s workforce is empowered to support its mission of delivering renewable energy solutions.
Bridgit has been with Meridian Energy for over three years. Before her current role, she served as Head of People Projects, where she led key HR initiatives, sustainability efforts, and climate resilience projects. Bridgit’s leadership in project and change management allowed Meridian Energy to implement transformative HR practices while also focusing on sustainability and long-term climate goals.
Prior to this, Bridgit took on a Change Manager role focused on climate-related disclosure, where she worked to improve the governance, processes, and metrics related to climate impact reporting. Her innovative approach to integrating climate goals into organizational strategy positioned Meridian as a leader in this space.
Earlier in her career, Bridgit served as Head of People Operations at Meridian, where she managed HR functions across the organization and played a key role in shaping the company’s organizational development and learning strategies. Prior to joining Meridian, she gained substantial experience as a Management Consultant at Deloitte, working on global transformation projects in the retail, financial services, and pharmaceutical industries.
