Bryan Batista elevated to Chief Executive Officer at Skyscanner

London, United Kingdom, May 2025 — Bryan Batista has been elevated to the role of Chief Executive Officer at Skyscanner, succeeding John Mangelaars, who steps down after leading the company for four and a half years. Batista’s appointment marks a new chapter in Skyscanner’s journey as it seeks to accelerate growth, diversify offerings, and strengthen its global footprint.

Bryan has served as Chief Operating Officer since January 2024, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and executing its growth agenda. During his tenure, he helped streamline operations and drive performance while aligning Skyscanner’s mission to simplify and expand travel options for users worldwide.

Prior to joining Skyscanner, Bryan held several senior roles at Booking.com, including SVP of Trips and CEO of Rentalcars.com, where he led the global transport division and spearheaded the development of integrated travel offerings. He also served at Tesla Motors in Europe and the U.S., overseeing sales and retail development initiatives, and began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Outgoing CEO John Mangelaars expressed strong confidence in Batista’s leadership, stating that Skyscanner is well-positioned for its next phase of growth. Under Bryan’s leadership, the company plans to expand into new markets and broaden its services to include rail and package travel, continuing its commitment to deliver smarter tools and broader travel choices.
