Madison, Wisconsin, October 2024 – Cara Capretta has been appointed as SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL). In her new role, Cara will oversee Human Resources, Community Relations, Communications, and Facilities, leveraging her extensive experience in HR leadership to foster a positive culture and drive business growth. Cara brings with her a wealth of expertise in talent management, HR strategy, and organizational transformation.
Prior to joining NGL, Cara served as Co-CHRO and Vice President of HR Centers of Excellence at OhioHealth. During her nearly one-year tenure, she was responsible for leading talent acquisition, DEI, culture, and total rewards initiatives. Her strategic leadership significantly contributed to the company’s human resources excellence.
Before OhioHealth, Cara held the position of Chief People Officer at Prophet, where she managed the global HR function, including talent, recruiting, and culture, for over a year. She successfully implemented strategies that enhanced the company’s overall employee experience and operational efficiency.
Earlier in her career, Cara spent over a decade at Oracle as Vice President of Human Capital Transformation & Thought Leadership Practice. There, she provided consultative services to CHROs across North America and led thought leadership initiatives, establishing Oracle as a key player in HR strategy innovation.
