San Clemente, California, United States, March 2026 — Sunup Solar Tech Services has announced the appointment of Carla Dawson as Chief Growth Officer (contract). In this role, Dawson will drive the company’s revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term value creation, owning the growth strategy end-to-end across sales, marketing, partnerships, pricing, and customer lifecycle optimisation, while working closely with operations to ensure scalable and profitable execution. She reports to the CEO.
In her new mandate at Sunup Solar Tech Services, Dawson is focused on accelerating commercial momentum for a business operating in Commercial Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M)—aligning go-to-market strategy with service delivery to strengthen customer outcomes and sustainable growth across the U.S. market.
Prior to this appointment, Dawson served as Head of Strategic Accounts and New Homes Division at BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution / US, where she led key accounts and growth initiatives across the U.S. solar distribution landscape, spanning residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
Before BayWa r.e., she spent over five years with SPCF as Vice President of Product Development, where she helped establish a large-scale solar maintenance equipment distribution business serving residential, commercial, and utility-scale markets. Her work included building and marketing a broad product portfolio, developing exclusive distributor contracts, leading e-commerce product management, and supporting industry-facing thought leadership and training initiatives.
Alongside this, Dawson held a contract leadership role as Vice President, Product Marketing at Sol Clarity, supporting product development and go-to-market for clean energy technology, including business model development, demand generation, and international growth strategy, with experience spanning early-stage commercialization and funding support.
Earlier in her career, she led agency and growth work as Managing Director at Dawz, and held product and business planning roles with MobyDigital and Hewlett-Packard, building a foundation in cross-functional execution, product strategy, and growth-oriented operations across global B2B environments.
