London, England, United Kingdom, December 2025 — Carol Cairnes has joined Hanson Wade Group as Head of HR Operations, bringing over two decades of deep HR leadership experience across hospitality, retail, and global service organizations. Her appointment marks a strategic step in strengthening people operations and culture as Hanson Wade continues its expansion across specialist information and community platforms.
In her new role, Carol is responsible for shaping and delivering enterprise-wide people operations, ensuring policies, processes, and ways of working align with organizational values while enabling high-performance, engagement, and scalable growth.
In her current chapter, Carol Cairnes serves as Head of HR Operations at Hanson Wade Group, where she leads people operations strategy, governance, and workforce experience for hybrid and international teams.
Immediately prior, she operated as an HR Consultant and Freelance People Advisor in London, supporting startups across pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and property sectors by designing people strategies, strengthening recruitment frameworks, and building effective onboarding and engagement systems.
Before that, Carol spent over sixteen years with D&D London, holding progressive leadership roles including Director of People, Group Head of People, Head of Talent, Senior HR Business Partner, and Human Resources Manager, where she oversaw people strategy for Europe and the United States, led culture transformation, talent development, and global HR governance across luxury hospitality operations.
Earlier in her career, she served as Human Resources Manager at Sainsbury’s, followed by Training Manager at INTEC Japan, gaining strong foundations in workforce development, international HR, and operational excellence.
