Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK – Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) is appoints Caroline Dungar as Interim Chief People Officer. With over 20 years of HR experience across multiple industries, Dungar’s extensive expertise in HR strategy, remuneration, and talent management will help guide YBS’s people strategy during this transition period.
Caroline Dungar has been with Yorkshire Building Society for almost two years, serving as Director of People & Culture since September 2022. In this role, she was responsible for driving the people strategy, learning, talent, reward, pensions, employee relations, and inclusion initiatives. Her strategic approach ensured a cohesive and supportive environment for all employees, laying the foundation for her current appointment.
Prior to her journey at YBS, Dungar spent nearly 12 years at HSBC in various HR leadership roles. Most notably, she was the Head of UK Performance & Reward, where she managed compensation, benefits, and union negotiations within the Ring Fenced Bank. She also played a pivotal role in establishing the HR Consultancy team for the UK Ring Fenced Bank as the HR Lead Consultant.
Earlier in her career, Dungar held positions at bp, Macquarie Group, J.P. Morgan, KPMG, and Andersen. These roles encompassed a broad spectrum of HR functions, from managing international compensation and benefits to providing consulting services on tax-efficient reward structures.
