Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, November 2024 – Carsten Werner Hansen has joined E.ON as the Chief Financial Officer. Hansen brings extensive experience in financial leadership and strategic management. Based in Copenhagen, he will contribute to E.ON’s financial strategy and operational excellence.
Carsten Werner Hansen transitions to E.ON from Green Power Denmark, where he served as Økonomi- og Administrationschef for nearly a year. During his tenure, he contributed to the financial and administrative operations of the organization, which focuses on renewable energy and green initiatives.
Prior to this, Hansen was the Head of Finance at Artelia, where he led financial operations and reporting for a year. His work included project finance and optimization.
Earlier, Hansen held a decade-long role at Hillerød Forsyning, where he served as CFO before being promoted to Acting CEO. His responsibilities included financial strategy, organizational development, and leadership.
Hansen also gained valuable experience as Økonomichef at Job Vision A/S and as Vice President at the Danish Gas Technology Centre. He began his career as a Revisor at KPMG, where he spent eight years honing his financial expertise.
