Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, February 2026 — Cate Hathaway has joined Kasada as Head of People & Culture, where she will lead the organisation’s people strategy, culture agenda, and workforce enablement as the company continues to scale its global cybersecurity platform.
In her new role at Kasada, Cate Hathaway is responsible for shaping people and culture frameworks that support growth, performance, and innovation across a distributed workforce. Her appointment reflects Kasada’s focus on building a strong, values-driven organisation alongside its mission to defeat automated security threats.
Prior to joining Kasada, she worked as an Interim Executive and Consultant, advising organisations on people, culture, and transformation agendas. Immediately before this, she spent nearly six years at GrainCorp, where she most recently served as Chief People and Transformation Officer. In this role, she led Human Resources, Information Technology, Safety, Health and Environment, and the Transformation Office, and played a key role in major portfolio actions including business demergers and divestments. She also served as Executive Sponsor of a large-scale enterprise systems transformation and contributed to GrainCorp achieving one of the smallest gender pay gaps among ASX 200 companies.
Earlier, Cate Hathaway held senior people leadership roles at Equifax as Human Resources Director, Asia Pacific, where she led transformation and integration initiatives following the acquisition of Veda. She previously served as Executive General Manager, People and Performance at Veda, building the People and Culture function post-IPO and supporting the organisation through significant M&A activity.
Her earlier career includes leadership roles at Westpac, where she managed Human Resources and Internal Communications for the St.George Banking Group, and more than a decade at Boral Limited, holding multiple senior positions across Human Resources, Safety, Risk, and Workers’ Compensation, with responsibility for large, complex workforces across Australia and Asia. She began her professional journey in corporate development at Allianz Australia Limited.
