Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, June 2024 – BCS Technology proudly announces the appointment of Chandi H. Dharmaratne as the new Chief People Officer. With an illustrious career spanning decades, Chandi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to guide BCS Technology through the dynamic landscape of HR and organizational development.
Chandi began her career in Manhattan, New York, in 1995. After over a decade in the US, she returned to Sri Lanka in 2001, joining MAS Holdings, where she oversaw the group’s learning and development. In 2013, she joined Virtusa as the Head of HR for Sri Lanka, later assuming roles such as Global BU Head and Global Digital HR Head. After a decade at Virtusa, she became the Chief People Officer at Axiata Digital Labs, managing operations in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
An advocate for entrepreneurship, Chandi was the former Chairperson of the Lankan Angel Network and actively serves on its Board of Directors. She has also served on the boards of The American Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka, SLASSCOM, the American Alumni Association, Sri Lanka, and the Association of HR Professionals, Sri Lanka.
Chandi has contributed to national initiatives, serving on the Steering Committee on People Development of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and expert committees for ICTA and the GoSL, including one to review public sector salary disparities. She is a certified coach who holds an MBA, a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics, and has attended executive education at INSEAD business school.
