Rochester, New York, United States, July 2025 – Charles Thompson has joined SimuTech Group – Ansys Apex Partner as Vice President, Human Resources, where he will lead the enterprise-wide HR strategy to support the company’s growth, transformation, and innovation agenda. In this pivotal role, he will partner with senior leadership to drive workforce planning, organizational design, leadership development, and cultural transformation across SimuTech’s hybrid and multi-site workforce.
Prior to this, Charles served at Sutherland for over two decades, holding multiple senior HR roles including Associate Vice President HR, Sr. Director Global HR Transformation and Execution, and Geo Director of Human Resources. During his tenure, he specialized in leading global HR transformation initiatives, digitalization of people analytics, and aligning HR strategies with diverse business verticals such as technology, healthcare, and business development.
Earlier in his journey at Sutherland, he served as Senior Human Resource Manager and Americas Head of Employee Retention, where he was responsible for large-scale HR operations, talent development, and succession planning. His career at Sutherland showcased his strengths in agile project management, executive leadership, and business strategy alignment.
Charles also brings earlier experience as General Manager at Hampton Inn, and as Assistant Banquet Manager at Four Points by Sheraton, where he was responsible for operational leadership and people management in the hospitality sector. He has also owned and operated Beyond Strength Inc., a fitness and lifestyle business, reflecting his passion for wellness and personal development.
