London, England, February 2025 – Burberry has announced the appointment of Charlotte Baldwin as Chief Information Officer, effective March 2025. Charlotte will be responsible for leading Burberry’s global technology team, overseeing digital transformation, innovation, and IT strategy. She will join the Executive Committee and report directly to Burberry Chief Executive Officer Joshua Schulman.
Charlotte Baldwin joins Burberry from Costa Coffee, where she has served as Global Chief Digital & Information Officer since 2022. At Costa, she played a pivotal role in accelerating digital transformation, enhancing customer experience, and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions to support the company’s rapid international expansion.
Commenting on the appointment, Burberry CEO Joshua Schulman said:

Before Costa, Charlotte held the position of Chief Information, Digital, and Transformation Officer at Bupa Insurance, where she led large-scale technology modernization projects aimed at improving customer engagement and operational efficiency. She also spent four years as Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, driving strategic technology initiatives in the legal sector.
Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at Pearson, Thomson Reuters, and Deloitte, specializing in IT strategy, digital innovation, and business transformation. Her tenure at Thomson Reuters, where she served as VP & CIO for Global Growth & Operations, provided her with extensive experience in scaling technology operations across global markets.
