North Chicago, Illinois, United States, April 2025 – Chelsea (Vandlen) Redman has taken on the role of Director, Talent Strategy Acceleration at AbbVie, where she will drive enterprise-wide efforts to elevate and scale talent strategies aligned with the organization’s business priorities. In her new capacity, she will collaborate across functions to design, refine, and accelerate talent solutions that ensure long-term organizational success.
Chelsea brings over seven years of HR leadership experience at AbbVie, where she has held several critical roles. Most recently, she served as Director, Business Human Resources for Medical Affairs + Health Impact, and before that, she led as Director, Business HR for U.S. Medical Affairs. In both roles, she partnered with business leaders to guide workforce planning, succession strategy, and change management within high-impact global healthcare teams.
Earlier at AbbVie, she was Associate Director, Business HR for R&D Development, and previously Business HR Manager supporting U.S. Commercial Immunology and Patient Services, helping drive performance and engagement strategies across diverse, complex business units.
Before joining AbbVie, Chelsea spent over six years with General Mills, where she held progressive HR leadership roles supporting both plant operations and corporate functions. She led HR teams in multiple locations, including the Vineland Plant in New Jersey and the Methuen Plant in Massachusetts. Chelsea’s early experiences included HR business partnering, organizational design, talent reviews, and leading campus recruiting efforts at institutions such as Dartmouth College and the University of Iowa.
She began her HR career as a Research Assistant at the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) at Cornell and gained additional experience as an HR Intern at Ingersoll Rand, where she developed global employer branding and recruiting strategies.
