Prague, Czechia, May 2024 – Beata Borer is elevated as Executive Director, Human Health International Commercial Operations at MSD. In this position, Beata will be responsible for identifying and scaling opportunities for process harmonization and simplification of commercial processes, while driving operational excellence.
Beata has been with MSD Czech Republic for over two years, starting as the Executive Director – EMEA Business Service Center in March 2022. In this role, she provided F&A services to over 60 EMEA local markets in 50+ languages, covering Account to Report, Financial Planning & Analysis, Order to Cash, and Source to Settle. Her efforts in driving operational excellence and service delivery were recognized, leading to her appointment as Global Delivery Lead ATR & FPA + EMEA BSC Site Lead in March 2023. In this role, Beata oversaw the execution of financial services globally for all markets and divisions, further showcasing her leadership and strategic vision.
Before joining MSD, Beata worked at PepsiCo for over eight years in various leadership roles. As the Transformation Director for Russia Business Services from 2018 to April 2022, she spearheaded continuous improvement initiatives, led the build-up and transformation of the Russian Business Service Center, and deployed Lean management programs. Her efforts resulted in significant productivity improvements and financial benefits.
Prior to that, Beata served as the Project Director Sales Shared Service Center from 2017 to 2018, where she established a new captive SSC for sales, managed back-office functions, and led the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools to enhance operational efficiency. Her success in these roles showcased her ability to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Beata’s tenure at PepsiCo also included roles such as GFSS Europe Transformation Lead and Global Financial Shared Services Transition Lead. In these positions, she managed transformation processes, ensured alignment of global and sector sponsorship, and directed global strategic initiatives to outsource transactional activities to IBM, leading to successful transitions and significant operational improvements.
Beata began her career as a Senior Auditor at KPMG Slovakia, where she gained valuable experience in auditing and risk management. She then joined PepsiCo as an Internal Auditor, Risk Management and Corporate Audit, eventually progressing to roles such as Compliance Manager, Marketing and Trade Investment Control Manager, and Senior Manager; Finance Capability and Optimization. Her diverse experience across various functions and geographies has equipped her with a broad skill set and a deep understanding of global business operations.
