Louisville, Kentucky, United States – November 2024 – Cheryl VanAllen has taken on the role of EVP, Chief People Officer at Republic Bank, where she will lead strategic human resource initiatives, talent management, and organizational development efforts. Cheryl’s vast expertise in HR leadership and talent strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping Republic Bank’s employee experience and supporting its growth.
Cheryl joins Republic Bank after an 8-year tenure at KFC US, where she most recently served as Director, Talent Strategy & People Analytics. In this role, she oversaw workforce planning, employee engagement, and talent pipeline strategies. Her impactful contributions included advancing organizational development and implementing robust analytics to drive informed decision-making. Cheryl also briefly served as Interim Chief People Officer, leading key HR initiatives during a transitional period.
Prior to her leadership at KFC US, Cheryl held several roles within Yum! Brands, including Director of Learning and Development. In this capacity, she spearheaded leadership development programs, career planning initiatives, and employee engagement strategies. Earlier, as Learning Manager and Learning Architect, Cheryl designed and implemented training programs that enhanced organizational capability and talent development.
Cheryl began her career at UPS, where she dedicated over 13 years to roles including Instructional Design Supervisor and Learning & Development Specialist. Her time at UPS was marked by her focus on employee learning programs, instructional design, and leadership development.
