Jacksonville, Florida, United States, December 2025 – Chris Edmunds has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Redwire Space, an integrated aerospace and defense technology company focused on building next-generation space infrastructure, autonomous systems, and multi-domain operations. In his new role, Edmunds will lead Redwire’s enterprise financial strategy, governance, capital planning, and compliance frameworks while supporting the company’s continued expansion across the United States and Europe.
In his current leadership role at Redwire Space, Chris Edmunds has progressed through multiple senior finance positions over nearly five years, culminating in his elevation to Chief Financial Officer. Immediately prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, where he led corporate controllership, treasury operations, tax strategy, cash management, insurance, IPO readiness, SOX compliance, and mergers and acquisitions initiatives, playing a pivotal role in Redwire’s public-company transformation.
Earlier, Edmunds served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller and Corporate Controller, overseeing financial reporting, revenue accounting, technical accounting, and enterprise-wide accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong financial governance across Redwire’s growing aerospace portfolio.
Before joining Redwire, Edmunds built a distinguished career of more than fourteen years at Ernst & Young (EY), where he progressed from Assurance Staff to Assurance Senior Manager. At EY, he led complex audits, advised clients on technical accounting, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory filings, internal controls, and financial transformations, while also serving on EY’s Audit Quality Review team and leading recruitment initiatives in the Jacksonville market.
