Stockholm, Sweden, November 2024 – Chris Newton has taken on the role of Head of People Strategy & Operations in Human Capital at PwC Sweden. In this strategic position, Chris will lead the company’s People Strategy and Human Capital Operations teams, focusing on enhancing the organization’s HC IT and People Data landscapes while fostering collaboration across teams and aligning them with client-facing business objectives.

Chris’s journey with PwC Sweden began over two years ago as Head of Talent Acquisition, where he transformed the talent acquisition function by insourcing operations, integrating innovative technology, and implementing a People Value Proposition strategy. Under Chris’s leadership, the Talent Acquisition team expanded from 11 to 25 members, achieving significant improvements in employer branding, recruitment efficiency, and international mobility processes.

Before relocating to Sweden, Chris held various leadership roles within the PwC network, including serving as PwC Europe HC Chief of Staff and Workforce CoE Lead in the Netherlands. In this role, Chris drove strategic priorities such as inclusion, workforce planning, and talent impact. His expertise in aligning HR strategies across territories ensured the successful implementation of systems like Workday Skills Cloud and facilitated cross-border collaboration.

Earlier, as Advisory HC Leader at PwC Netherlands, Chris partnered with business units on strategic HC initiatives, ranging from performance management and senior recruitment to fostering a culture of innovation. His experience in talent development, data-driven decision-making, and HR process optimization has consistently contributed to PwC’s goals of aligning human capital with business strategy.

Chris’s extensive career within PwC Europe also includes leading HR strategy, driving talent acquisition initiatives, and establishing innovative learning and development frameworks. His international expertise and ability to manage complex human capital projects have positioned him as a leader in the HR space.
