Carmichael, California, United States, February 2026 — Eskaton, a leading non-profit provider of aging services in Northern California, has appointed Christhannah Luten as Chief People Officer. In her new role, Christhannah will lead Eskaton’s people strategy, culture, talent development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness agenda, supporting the organization’s mission of enabling older adults to age with joy, dignity, and fulfillment.
With strong leadership experience spanning people strategy, culture transformation, HR operations, and workforce development across healthcare, community services, and mission-driven organizations, Christhannah brings a results-oriented approach grounded in inclusion, performance excellence, and long-term capability building.
In her appointment as Chief People Officer at Eskaton, Christhannah Luten will be responsible for shaping enterprise-wide people and culture priorities, strengthening leadership capability, and building a high-performing, mission-aligned workforce across Eskaton’s residential communities, affordable housing operations, and home and community-based services.
Before joining Eskaton, she spent close to three years at The Larkin Company as Head, People and Culture, where she led strategy and execution across people, culture, and workplace environment initiatives. In this role, she focused heavily on data-driven HR transformation, DEIB, employee engagement, and aligning HR programs to business growth priorities, building a stronger employer value proposition through talent, rewards, and organizational development initiatives.
Prior to that, Christhannah served as Director, Human Resources at Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc., where she designed and implemented HR strategies aligned to operational and mission goals across California. She strengthened HR operations through leadership training programs, engagement initiatives, and deep expertise in complex employee relations and compliance matters.
Earlier, she worked at Alluma as Executive Director, CHRO, where she built and executed an end-to-end people strategy and led culture transformation, performance management, and talent development. During this period, she drove measurable improvements in employee connectedness with managers while deploying workforce models and OKR-based performance systems to better align people outcomes with organizational priorities.
Christhannah also contributed to public sector HR through her role as an Human Resources Professional at the State of California, providing personnel oversight, recruitment process management, compliance expertise, and manager training to support operational efficiency and workforce planning.
In earlier leadership roles, she served as Director of Human Resources at The Community College Foundation, supporting HR operations and organizational development, including manager capability building, policy design, risk reduction, and strategic workforce initiatives for non-profit environments.
She also held roles as Human Resources Manager at Direct Destinations Limited, followed by earlier experience as an educator (Teacher at CCA, ACA) and HR leadership exposure at Sony Ericsson as an Human Resources Officer.
