Los Angeles, California, United States, December 2025 – Christian Kelly has been appointed as Vice President at BMO Commercial Bank, marking a significant milestone in his growing leadership career within the U.S. commercial banking ecosystem. In his new role, he oversees a middle-market portfolio focused on franchise finance and fuel services, providing senior-level credit leadership across acquisition, expansion, and recapitalization transactions while maintaining disciplined portfolio performance.
In his most recent tenure, Christian Kelly served as Assistant Vice President – Franchise Finance at BMO Commercial Bank, where he supported diversified industry portfolios, strengthened underwriting discipline, and contributed to complex middle-market lending and M&A-driven financing structures.
Earlier, he built strong franchise-finance expertise at BMO Harris Bank, progressing through roles as Associate and Financial Analyst, where he worked closely with multi-unit operators on underwriting, valuation, financial modeling, and structured lending.
He began his banking career at City National Bank, where he served as Credit Analyst, Officer, supporting commercial banking, entertainment and private banking credit, and structured leveraged finance portfolios.
Across his career, Christian has also developed frontline banking and client-service experience at Citi, Wells Fargo, OneWest Bank, HelloTech, and Shift Technologies, building a broad operational understanding of retail, commercial, and leveraged finance environments.
Christian Kelly holds an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, further strengthening his analytical and strategic banking leadership capabilities.
