San Francisco, California, United States, September 2025 – Christopher Zimmerman has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Quantcast, marking a significant milestone in his 15-year journey with the company. In this new role, he will lead Quantcast’s global technology vision, driving innovation in measurable advertising outcomes through its AI-powered digital advertising solutions.
Zimmerman has held several leadership roles at Quantcast, most recently as Vice President of Engineering, where he delivered the company’s self-serve platform, reduced service costs by tens of millions while improving performance, expanded the London engineering team fourfold, and introduced a company-wide information security function. He also spearheaded GDPR, CCPA, and other regulatory compliance in partnership with the CLO, and created scalable performance management and career pathing systems across engineering.
Earlier, as Director of Engineering and later Head of Engineering, Zimmerman led Quantcast’s Infrastructure and Big Data Platforms, developing and migrating petascale distributed systems to AWS with zero customer impact. His leadership ensured high availability, improved operational efficiency, and enabled the ingestion and processing of exabyte-scale data critical to Quantcast’s business.
Zimmerman’s early career included senior engineering roles at Six Apart, Yahoo, Overture, and AltaVista, where he contributed to distributed systems, grid computing, and search technologies during pivotal stages of the internet era. He has also been serving as a Board Member at IAB Tech Lab, contributing to global standards in digital advertising and technology.
