Greater London, England, United Kingdom, June 2024 – Clare J. has joined MS Amlin as the new Head of Talent Development and Performance. With a wealth of experience in human resources and talent management, Clare will lead the development and execution of talent strategies to enhance performance and employee growth.
Before joining MS Amlin, Clare served in a Senior People Role at Brakes UK for over seven years. In this role, she was responsible for business partnering C-Suite Directors in Operations and overseeing HR functions for 6000 employees. Her notable achievements include acting as the Senior Talent Business Partner to UK HR Directors, leading apprenticeship programs, and driving DE&I initiatives. Clare was instrumental in the company winning the Motor Transport Best Training Programme award in 2023.
Prior to her tenure at Brakes UK, Clare was the Capability Development Manager, where she supported over 400 sales employees. She led the development and evaluation of learning and development strategies, managed a team of trainers, and partnered with sales directors to enhance team skills and drive growth.
Clare also held the position of People Development Manager at ghd, where she created a dynamic learning environment and led employee development programs to align with business goals.
Earlier in her career, Clare was the HR/L&D Manager EMEA at Illumina, supporting 400+ employees and achieving high satisfaction rates in her training programs. She also worked as a Senior Advisor at Rio Tinto, developing capability services and leading regional projects.
Clare’s extensive experience also includes roles as the UK Learning and Development Officer at Alcan, Regional L&D Manager at Crown Prosecution Service, National Trainer at Hotel Chocolat, and Site Training Officer at Premier Foods. Her early career includes positions at John Lewis & Partners as a Learning and Development Coach and Partnerlink Regional Trainer.
