Stewartville, Minnesota, United States, August 2025 — Colby Mower has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at TechMix, bringing a diverse and accomplished career in agricultural marketing, brand communications, and strategic leadership to the role.
At Zoetis Inc., Colby most recently served as Senior Marketing Manager, Dairy Wellness, where he was responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that supported the wellness and productivity of dairy animals. Over his tenure from January 2021 to August 2025, he played a critical role in leading go-to-market plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the company’s value proposition in the livestock health space.
Previously, Colby was Communications Manager at BASF, where he oversaw U.S. Crop Communications activities, including those related to corn and soybean products. He was instrumental in shaping consistent messaging and developing communication strategies aligned with business goals. His contributions helped strengthen BASF’s brand positioning within the U.S. agricultural market.
Before that, he worked as an Account Executive at Bader Rutter, where he acted as the day-to-day liaison for clients, led strategic planning sessions, coordinated internal teams, and delivered integrated marketing programs. His work spanned market research, creative brief development, campaign execution, and client servicing—honing his skills in multi-channel brand management.
Earlier in his career, Colby held the role of Global Communications Manager, BioAg at Novozymes, where he led global communication planning and trained regional marketing teams to align with corporate brand strategy. He also managed BioAg’s online presence and communication tools and collaborated across regions to ensure coherent messaging and resource optimization.
Colby’s earlier professional experiences include stints as Internal Communication Intern at Syngenta, Project Coordinator at Blacksmith Fork Conservation District, Editor/Writer at the College of Agriculture, and Public Relations Intern at the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food. Additionally, he held roles such as Flock Manager at Hillside Turkey Farm and Farm Manager at Mower Ranch, where he developed grassroots knowledge of livestock operations and on-the-ground marketing.
His background also includes international experience as an LDS Missionary, where he taught English and spoke Russian, and service as a State Officer with the Utah FFA Association, where he conducted leadership workshops and conferences.
