New Delhi, India, November 2025 — Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading global professional services firm known for driving transformation and operational excellence, has appointed Aakriti Gandhi as Associate Director – Human Capital (HR M&A). With a strong background in HR transformation and mergers & acquisitions, Aakriti brings over a decade of experience in people strategy, organization design, and post-deal execution across global sectors and geographies.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Aakriti spent over seven years at KPMG, where she played an instrumental role in building and leading the firm’s HR M&A Centre of Excellence (CoE). As Associate Director – People in M&A, she partnered with CXOs and CHROs on more than 30 large-scale global transactions, guiding clients through HR due diligence, Day-1 readiness, and post-deal integration. Her work included developing tailored people strategies for complex cross-border deals, managing workforce transitions, and ensuring seamless HR transformations during mergers, separations, and joint ventures.
During her tenure at KPMG, Aakriti led several high-impact projects, including a $275 million EU-wide transformation enabling workforce restructuring across 32 countries and an HR integration strategy for a $300 million hospitality acquisition. Her excellence was recognized through multiple firm-wide honors, including the People-Star and Spotlight awards.
Before joining KPMG, Aakriti worked at WNS Global Services, where she managed compensation and benefits, global mobility, and total rewards across regions. Her initiatives in policy innovation, acquisition integration, and employee engagement earned her the Best Project Award for C&B Branding & Communication in 2018. She began her professional journey with Firstsource Solutions, where she gained hands-on experience in compensation design, HR policy development, and transformation projects that enhanced employee experience and performance alignment.
With this appointment, Aakriti is poised to contribute to A&M’s Human Capital & M&A advisory practice, driving people-centric strategies that enable successful organizational transformation and value realization in dynamic business environments.
