Gurugram, Haryana, India, September 2024 – Colonel Tarun Vohra has been appointed as Vice President of HR at Lumax World, starting August 2024. In this role, Vohra will oversee human resources functions across the organization, focusing on enhancing employee engagement, talent development, and strategic HR initiatives.
Colonel Vohra’s career spans diverse roles in both military and corporate sectors. Before joining Lumax World, he was Vice President of People Operations at Blinkit, where he led a team of 100 HR professionals. Vohra crafted innovative people strategies and talent development programs, leveraging technology to enhance employee experience and organizational efficiency.
Prior to his tenure at Blinkit, Vohra held significant roles at Amazon. As Senior Manager for Shipping and Delivery Support Operations, he managed a large team handling global customer service challenges. He also served as Senior Operations Manager, where he led a major sort center through the COVID-19 pandemic, significantly scaling operations and improving productivity.
Vohra’s extensive military career includes over 21 years of service in the Indian Army. Notably, as Colonel (Director of Operations, Procurement & Supply Chain), he managed procurement operations and achieved substantial cost savings. As Colonel (Commanding Officer of HR, General Management & Operations), he led a specialized regiment with exceptional operational readiness.
His earlier military roles included serving as a Major at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, and participating in UN missions as a Staff Officer at UNIFIL Headquarters in Lebanon, where he was responsible for supply chain management and financial analysis.
