Coloplast India Appoints Anuj Agarwal as Head of Marketing

A seasoned healthcare marketing leader with over two decades of experience across medical devices, healthcare technology, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals, Agarwal joins Coloplast at a time when the organization is accelerating efforts to enhance patient outcomes, strengthen healthcare professional engagement, and drive sustainable business growth.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the appointment, Agarwal highlighted his excitement about contributing to Coloplast’s next phase of growth while supporting the company’s mission of making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with intimate healthcare needs. His appointment reinforces Coloplast’s commitment to customer-centric innovation and market development across its specialized healthcare segments.

Agarwal brings a rich blend of strategic marketing, commercialization, portfolio management, product launch, customer engagement, and business development experience. Prior to assuming his new role, he served as Vice President Marketing at Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd., where he was responsible for formulating go-to-market strategies, accelerating business growth across instruments and consumables, driving portfolio development, and identifying new business opportunities through customer insights and market intelligence.

Interestingly, this marks a return to Coloplast for Agarwal. Between 2019 and 2024, he previously served as Head Marketing at Coloplast, where he played a key role in identifying growth opportunities, driving commercialization initiatives, strengthening healthcare professional engagement, and building consumer acquisition and retention programs through digital and customer-facing platforms. His familiarity with the company’s business, customers, and strategic priorities positions him to create immediate impact in his new leadership role.

Before joining Coloplast for the first time, Agarwal spent six years with Stryker as Head – Capital Marketing, Endoscopy, NSE, Medical & Communications, where he led business strategy development, integrated operating room solutions, customer segmentation initiatives, portfolio management, and commercialization programs. His work contributed significantly to strengthening Stryker’s presence in advanced surgical and healthcare technology solutions.

Earlier in his career, he served as Marketing Manager – Structural Heart & Cardiology at St. Jude Medical, where he played an instrumental role in integrating AGA Medical into the organization and developing market-entry strategies across India and neighboring South Asian markets. He also led the launch of advanced technologies such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), helping expand the company’s cardiovascular portfolio.

His leadership journey also includes significant roles with DePuy Synthes (Johnson & Johnson), where he managed trauma and biomaterials portfolios, and Ranbaxy, where he worked across therapy marketing and project management functions, supporting product development, portfolio strategy, and commercialization initiatives. He began his professional career with Piramal Enterprises in pharmaceutical sales.

With extensive experience spanning medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare technology, and pharmaceuticals, Agarwal has consistently demonstrated the ability to translate customer insights into growth opportunities, build high-impact marketing strategies, and drive commercial excellence across diverse healthcare segments.

His appointment comes as healthcare organizations increasingly focus on patient-centric innovation, digital engagement, and value-based healthcare solutions. Coloplast’s leadership believes that Agarwal’s deep understanding of healthcare markets and proven track record in strategic marketing will support the company’s continued growth and leadership in intimate healthcare solutions.

As Head of Marketing, he will be responsible for leading marketing strategy, portfolio growth, customer engagement, commercialization excellence, brand development, and market expansion initiatives across Coloplast India’s business segments.
