Houston, Texas, United States, January 2025 – Daniel Gandarilla has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for leading the organization’s human resources strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, leadership development, and workforce planning to drive the center’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, Daniel Gandarilla served as Senior Vice President, CHRO Executive Services at Advocate Health, where he led executive lifecycle management for over 155,000 employees, overseeing executive recruitment, total rewards, and a $5 million budget while managing a team of 60.

Before that, he was SVP, Chief Talent Officer at Atrium Health, where he was responsible for talent management, workforce development, and HR analytics for a workforce of 70,000 employees. He played a pivotal role in standardizing talent programs across multiple mergers and led a $10 million talent strategy budget.
Earlier, he spent over eight years at Texas Health Resources in multiple leadership roles, including VP, Chief Learning Officer and Director, Talent & Team Development. His accomplishments included creating a corporate university, managing succession planning, and overseeing non-traditional HR functions such as clinical education and medical libraries.
He also held earlier positions as a Consultant with Neeley & Associates, and Human Resources Intern at Procter & Gamble, gaining diverse expertise in talent strategy, HR policy design, and organizational leadership.
