In this part-time, strategic leadership role, Danielle will oversee the organization’s HR and people strategy, driving initiatives that support inclusive growth, workforce well-being, and talent development across the service footprint in the UK.
Before joining Waythrough, Danielle Oakley served as Head of People at Humankind Charity for over a year, following a successful stint as Interim Head of People at the same organization. In this capacity, she led strategic HR initiatives, supported employee development programs, and played a pivotal role in strengthening the charity’s people-first culture.
Prior to that, Danielle built an impressive 12-year career with Peninsula UK, where she held several leadership positions including Associate Director HR Advisory, Operations Manager, and Regional Manager for the North and Scotland. Her work spanned advisory leadership, operational transformation, and national HR delivery, showcasing her depth across employee relations, talent strategy, and business partnering.
She began her HR journey at Humankind Charity as a Human Resources Officer, a role that laid the foundation for her enduring commitment to people-centric impact.
