Reston, Virginia, United States, February 2026 — Darcey (Krug) Villasenor has joined Seekr as Chief People Officer, stepping into the role at a time when the company is scaling its mission around trusted, outcomes-driven AI. In her announcement, Darcey shared that her curiosity about AI has grown into a deep personal and professional passion—particularly around taking a more human-centered approach to designing and deploying it—and said that Seekr’s clarity of purpose, rooted in AI that is built for trust and driven by outcomes, is what drew her to the company.
She added that she is energized by the opportunity to help shape an approach to AI that earns trust, operates responsibly, and delivers real impact for customers and teams alike. In her new position, Darcey said she will be building and scaling the People function across North America, with plans to expand into Europe—ensuring that culture, leadership, and people systems remain as intentional and outcome-focused as the technology Seekr is building.
Before joining Seekr, Darcey served for nearly three years as Head of People & Culture at SpryPoint, where she reported directly to the CEO and helped build the People & Culture function from the ground up as the organization scaled. During this period, she highlighted outcomes including significant company growth, building an in-house talent acquisition capability that supported large-scale hiring, implementing a structured onboarding program, launching an annual performance review program aligned to core values, and strengthening internal communication and employee relations foundations.
Earlier, she held the role of Head of People at StackHawk, where she led end-to-end people operations and talent acquisition, including workforce planning, onboarding design, engagement initiatives, and systems/process improvements. She also served as Director of Global Talent Acquisition, Operations & Assessments at Sonatype, contributing to high-growth scaling through talent strategy, recruiting operations, assessment practices, and leader enablement.
Darcey’s earlier experience includes leadership roles at Mercuri Urval across global recruitment and assessments, and she began her career in a client-facing role with Zimmer Biomet, building a foundation in stakeholder partnership and execution discipline that has carried into her people leadership journey.
