Manitoba, Canada, November 2025 — Darcy Jacobs has been appointed as the Chief People & Culture Officer at Access Credit Union, Manitoba’s largest credit union. In his new leadership role, Darcy will continue to strengthen the organization’s culture of empowerment, trust, and collaboration while leading initiatives that enhance employee engagement, development, and organizational transformation. Reflecting on his new role, Darcy shared, “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with an amazing team and to help shape the future of an organization that’s based in community, driven by purpose, and moved forward by incredible people.”
Darcy’s journey at Access Credit Union spans over three years, where he most recently served as Vice President, People & Culture. In this role, he led a team of over 20 professionals across engagement, talent acquisition, learning and development, and total rewards. His leadership was pivotal in integrating people and culture strategies during multiple mergers that grew the organization from 500 to over 900 employees. He also led the redesign of Access Credit Union’s total rewards plan and championed the integration of sustainable DEI practices into its core culture.
Before joining Access Credit Union, Darcy held multiple senior leadership roles at Noventis Credit Union, where he spent over eight years driving strategic innovation and operational excellence. As EVP, Operations & Innovation, he oversaw Operations, Information Services, PMO, People Solutions, and Marketing, guiding the credit union through digital and cultural transformation. Previously, as EVP, People and Innovation and VP, Engagement and Development, he led HR and marketing teams through successful mergers, strengthening employee engagement and brand integration across branches.
Earlier in his career, Darcy gained valuable experience at Sunova Credit Union, where he held progressive roles including Managing Partner, Lending Associate, and Management Trainee, managing diverse personal, commercial, and agricultural portfolios. He began his career as a Programs Ambassador with the Public Service Commission of Canada, supporting initiatives in the federal workforce and developing his early passion for community service and public engagement.
In addition to his executive career, Darcy serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at Credit Union National Benefits (CUNB), where he provides strategic leadership and governance oversight for Canada’s national benefits program serving the credit union system.
