Lansing, Michigan, United States, March 2025 – Darren P. Webb has stepped into a new leadership role as Director, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at AF Group, a nationally recognized holding company specializing in specialty insurance solutions. In his new position, Darren is responsible for leading the organization’s Information Security Department and shaping its cybersecurity strategy, programs, and policies to protect critical information assets.
Darren brings with him over two decades of deep cybersecurity and information security experience. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Security IT (CISO) at McLaren Health Care, where he led enterprise-level cybersecurity strategies, risk management programs, and governance practices. His leadership at McLaren involved overseeing internal and external cybersecurity teams and developing proactive intelligence-led security frameworks.
Before that, Darren held the position of Director of Information Security at The Doctors Company, where he managed IT security and compliance operations. Earlier in his career, he held cybersecurity leadership roles at TCF National Bank, Chemical Bank, and Hurley Medical Center, steadily progressing from engineering management to CISO-level positions.
Darren’s expertise spans across NIST frameworks, incident response, cloud security, identity and access management, and data privacy, all of which align with the evolving cybersecurity needs of the insurance and financial services sectors.
