With a rich background in operational management and project development, Cuzzubbo is set to lead Arafura into a new era, focusing on the pivotal Nolans Project.

Joining Arafura’s Board as a non-executive director in November 2021, Cuzzubbo quickly became an integral part of the team. By September 2023, his role expanded to provide management support, utilizing his extensive experience from over 30 years in the field. His tenure at Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited (BHP) and management of operations like Olympic Dam has equipped him with unparalleled expertise in handling complex operations and projects across the globe.

Cuzzubbo’s expertise is not just limited to operational management; it extends into significant greenfield and brownfield project oversight, financing, and acquisition activities. His deep understanding of the resources and manufacturing sectors is anticipated to bring innovative strategies and robust growth to Arafura Rare Earths, especially in advancing the Nolans Project.

The appointment comes at a crucial time as Arafura Rare Earths intensifies efforts to secure off-take agreements and debt financing for the Nolans Project. Chairman Mark Southey highlighted the board’s commitment to the project’s success, noting Cuzzubbo’s alignment with these strategic goals. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in navigating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Arafura.

With Darryl Cuzzubbo at the helm, Arafura Rare Earths Limited is poised for strategic advancements in its operations and projects. His extensive experience and strategic insight are key assets for the company as it seeks to solidify its position in the rare earths industry and successfully advance the Nolans Project.
