Greater Tampa Bay Area, United States, September 2025 — Dawn Hackney has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Encore Vet Group, where she will oversee financial strategy, operational efficiency, and fiscal planning to strengthen the organization’s mission of supporting veterinary hospitals and enhancing the veterinary experience.
Most recently, Dawn served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, where she focused on guiding financial performance, planning, and strategic growth initiatives in healthcare services.
Prior to this, she was Chief Financial Officer at American Vascular Associates, providing financial leadership and driving operational improvements in specialized healthcare delivery.
Earlier, she served as Vice President of Finance at Care Access Research, where she managed finance, accounting, contracting, compliance, and HR functions, supporting the company’s expansion in clinical trial research.
Beyond these immediate roles, Dawn has held senior finance leadership positions at organizations including Meridien Research, VeriFone, CCS Medical, CareMedic Systems, and others, where she consistently advanced financial strategy, operational oversight, and M&A integration. She is also an active Treasurer on the HBA Board of Directors and serves as a Board Member for freeFall Theatre Company, reflecting her commitment to both professional and community impact.
