Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — Deoleo has appointed Vishal Sarin as General Manager – India, strengthening its leadership as the company accelerates category development and expands its market presence in the country.
In his new role at Deoleo, Vishal will lead overall business strategy, commercial operations, and distribution growth across India. A key focus of his mandate will be strengthening Figaro, the company’s flagship brand in the country, while driving deeper market penetration and consumer engagement within the olive oil category.
Vishal brings over 25 years of experience across leading FMCG and consumer healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Deoleo, he spent over five years at Unilever, where he served as General Manager – Central India and earlier as General Manager – Category Strategy and Planning. In these roles, he led regional business growth, category planning, and strategic commercial initiatives across key markets.
Earlier, he held multiple leadership roles at GSK Consumer Healthcare India, including Business Head – Customer Marketing & Commercial Excellence and Regional Head – West India. During his decade-long tenure, he drove customer marketing transformation, strengthened commercial excellence frameworks, and led regional growth strategies.
His earlier career includes sales leadership roles at PepsiCo and Pidilite Industries Limited, where he built strong on-ground commercial and distribution capabilities across diverse geographies.
Vishal holds a Master’s degree in International Business (Marketing & Finance) from the Symbiosis Institute of International Business.
With extensive experience spanning strategy, sales, category management, and commercial excellence, Vishal Sarin’s appointment signals Deoleo’s strong intent to accelerate growth and strengthen its footprint in India’s evolving edible oils market.
