Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Dhananjay Bapat has taken on a new role as Vice President at CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited. In this position, he is leading the Railways business globally, with a mandate to build a world-class organisation by attracting and developing talent, driving operational excellence through innovation, and strengthening process capabilities using Lean methodologies to deliver a sustainable growth model. His focus also includes fostering a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving, while investing in R&D to position CG Power as a technology leader in the railways sector in India and global markets.
Prior to joining CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, Dhananjay Bapat served as General Manager at Hach, where he led a five-year strategic growth plan with accelerated investments across sales, marketing, service, and manufacturing. Working closely with global leadership, he helped bring advanced technologies and processes to India, while building future-ready organisations and strengthening culture through trust, transparency, and leadership development.
Earlier, he spent more than 12 years with Videojet Technologies, holding multiple senior leadership roles including Director – IB Sales, Service & Technical Support (India & South Asia), Director – Strategic Accounts Business, Director – Marketing & Strategic Accounts Business, and Director – Marketing & Product Management. Across these roles, he drove high-growth strategies, strengthened P&L performance, led large teams, and transformed go-to-market and account management approaches across India and South Asia.
Before Videojet, Dhananjay Bapat worked with Atlas Copco as Marketing Manager, where he collaborated closely with sales teams to deliver sustained revenue growth and strengthen multi-brand market presence. Earlier in his career, he held sales and leadership roles at Saint-Gobain Abrasives, progressing from Senior Sales Engineer to Regional Manager – Sales, and also worked with Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company in sales engineering roles. He began his professional journey with Crompton Greaves as a Production Engineer, followed by an early role as Machine Shop Supervisor at Bajaj Dhatu Udyog, building strong technical and operational foundations.
Dhananjay Bapat holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Welingkar Institute of Management, graduating with first class honours, which has complemented his extensive hands-on leadership experience across engineering, manufacturing, and industrial businesses.
