Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 — redBus (MakeMyTrip group) has appointed Divya Amarnath as VP and Head – Human Resources, redBus (MakeMyTrip group), effective January 2026. In her new role, Amarnath will own and lead end-to-end people and facilities strategy across 1,500+ employees spanning India and international geographies across redBus, Bitla, and Savaari within the MakeMyTrip group. The mandate includes enabling and turbocharging growth while supporting profitability, with the business reportedly delivering 25%+ year-on-year growth and annual revenues of 1,700+ crore.
Prior to joining redBus, Divya Amarnath served at Godrej Industries Group as Group Head – HR Digital Transformation and Analytics for about a year and a half, where her work centered on strengthening HR transformation agendas through digital enablement and analytics-led decision making.
Before that, she was with Lenskart.com as Vice President – Global HR and Employee Relations for a brief stint, owning people experience, operations, technology, analytics, talent management, benefits, ethics and compliance, and employee relations for 16,000+ employees globally.
Amarnath also spent about five years at Flipkart, where she held multiple leadership roles including Senior Director and Head of HR – New Businesses, Director – HR Strategy and M&A, Director – HR Tech + Israel HR Head, and Associate Director – HRBP Technology. Her work included end-to-end business partnering for technology organizations, shaping HR strategy for engineering and product teams, anchoring AOP planning, driving OD and learning interventions, and contributing to core talent management and talent branding charters.
Earlier in her journey, she served at XSEED Education across roles including Head of Human Resources and General Manager of Sales, where she was responsible for building the talent and people function from the ground up while also taking on line leadership responsibilities across regional sales, marketing, and inside sales—alongside anchoring HR transformation through technology adoption and M&A people transitions.
A foundational phase of her career was with Unilever, where she worked across multiple roles including Head of HR Services Delivery, TA India and Reimagine HR Lead, Sales COE – National Project Manager, Sales HR Manager – Regional HRBP (East), and Factory ER and HR Manager across key manufacturing sites. Her responsibilities spanned end-to-end HR process delivery at scale, large-team leadership, HR digitization, organization transformation, distributor sales lifecycle systems, complex IR partnering, settlements, capability building, and engagement interventions. She also began with Unilever through early experiences including trainee and internship assignments.
